Water-saturated soil in the proposed layers increases the load, therefore it is
necessary to plan a larger dimension not only of the roof structure. Increased financial
costs, whether on the supporting structure or layers needed for landscaping, subsequently
ensures savings of operating funds. Well-designed layers of green roofs significantly
increase the life of the roof covering, because the vegetation and the vegetation layer
protect waterproofing of the roof against weathering.
